Summary and Overview

In 2015, the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Springfield Public Schools partnered to form the Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP). SEZP is committed to ensuring that the middle and high schools in "The Zone" are engaging environments where teachers receive the supports they need to grow professionally, and students have the opportunity to acquire the academic and personal skills to succeed in the college or career of their choice.

Each SEZP school has the autonomy to craft and implement its own, unique vision for success and receives support from an ecosystem of national-caliber partners. Being able to differentiate for all students is a must for Impact Prep. Teachers are essential for ensuring the best instruction. As a result, we look to teachers to coach and improve other teacher's instruction. This is essential to move our school forward.

Duties:

Coaches and supports teachers in planning, delivering, and assessing quality instruction for students who are in the LLD program

Gives feedback in the summer to other LLD teachers

Adapts and creates curriculum maps for all subjects for the LLD program

Provides leadership and support in the development, implementation, and creation of the ELA curriculum

Introduces and leads PD about LLD specific programs like Sonday

Completes any other tasks as assigned by the principal or other members of administration as needed.

Qualifications:

Teacher Certification in Special Education

Has experience with the LLD program

Currently (or scheduled to be) an Impact Prep Employee
