    The Scarsdale Schools' Technical Services team is seeking an experienced and self-motivated candidate for a new Technical Support Specialist position. The incumbent works closely with the existing Technical Support Specialists, with the Network and Data Services teams, as well as with computer teachers and aides to deliver technology solutions to students, faculty, and staff.

    Under general supervision, the Technical Support Specialist support and maintain computer equipment, mobile devices, and peripherals. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading equipment. The Technical Support Specialists respond to service calls from all seven buildings throughout the school district.

    The individual in this position will:
    • Recommend, schedule, and perform computer and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
    • Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
    • Install, configure, test, maintain, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot end user computers, peripheral equipment, phones, and network components.
    • Install, configure, test, maintain, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products.
    • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex computer problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site hardware repair as needed.
    • Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
    • Work with third-party technology vendors to complete projects and resolve issues.
    • Provide support to students and staff on computer operation and other issues.
    • Receive and respond to incoming support tickets, calls, and/or e-mails regarding problems with computers, peripheral equipment, and/or phones.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment.
    • Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
    • Provide guidance to junior members of the team as required.
    • Assist network services team with projects.
    • Complete related work as required.

    The following skills are required:
    • Knowledge of Mac OS, iOS, and Windows operating systems
    • Knowledge of Apple School Manager, VPP, and DEP a plus
    • Knowledge of Jamf Pro, Lightspeed Systems, and Intune MDM a plus
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize workload
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Knowledge of public schools and their systems preferred
