TITLE: Grants & Strategic Partnerships Specialist
SALARY:Administrative Salary Scale PG3
WORK YEAR:260 Days
REPORTS TO: Director of Strategic Partnerships
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Grants and Strategic Partnerships Specialist will support the daily operations of grants, internal and external communications, and partnerships. This individual will work cohesively with the AmeriCorps grants team to meet Federal and State requirements for member files.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (Essential Job Functions)
Identify potential funding opportunities and write grants to support district goals and priorities; Support internal and external communications, including editing of content and development of flyers and social media messages; Initiate internal financial processing (establish requisitions and purchase orders); Monitor grant-related or project-related expenses; Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all AmeriCorps member files, ensuring appropriate documentation in accordance with Federal and State requirements for audit compliance; Monitor AmeriCorps member insurance status and files; provide AmeriCorps members with assistance for signing up for insurance as necessary; Process AmeriCorps member verification documents (social security, etc.); Coordinate timely execution of AmeriCorps member background checks; Monitor AmeriCorps member timesheets; Support AmeriCorps member online application management, including enrollment and exists; Assist with AmeriCorps recruitment ads, events and screening; Assist with committee meeting preparations; Maintain positive relationships with volunteers, students, parents, staff, and other partners; Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of and/or experience in grant writing or grants management a plus; Knowledge of and/or experience with AmeriCorps or AmeriCorps VISTA a plus; Knowledge of and/or experience in human resources a plus; Experience with social media and/or creativity in design of flyers, ads, brochures, etc. a plus.

Skills: Must have high level of organization and the ability to coordinate and organize materials with attention to detail; Proficient with Word, Excel, and Google Docs; Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills; Strong problem solving skills; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with accuracy.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid drivers licenses, and provide personal automobile.
Office environment; walking, standing, squatting, listening and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; seeing to monitor various activities; read documents, view computer monitor, kneeling, bending at the waist, sitting for extended periods of time; reaching overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally, or bending at the waist to retrieve and store files; lifting semi heavy objects; driving a vehicle to conduct work, moderate travel.
