Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in the civil engineering field, plus five years of progressively more responsible professional experience in the civil engineering field. Thorough knowledge of theory, practices, materials, and equipment of the civil engineering field to which assigned; comprehensive knowledge of engineering design, maintenance, and inspection techniques; ability to perform advanced engineering tasks within field of specialization; ability to supervise professional journey-level and paraprofessional engineers; ability to formulate life-cycle projections; skill in writing reports, specifications, and contract documents; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
