Title: Digital Media Specialist
Qualifications:
- Experience with digital photography and video production as demonstrated by samples of work.
- Experience producing promotional and informational materials for print as demonstrated by samples of work.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with programs such as Word and Power Point to create presentations.
- Knowledgeable in web design and social media websites such as Facebook.
- Experience with and/or training in Adobe Premier Pro
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, digital arts, public relations, marketing, video/media or related field.
Basic Function/Purpose:
Assist in the execution of the district's internal and external public information services and to be the leader in providing quality media content for all 475 communication platforms in order to better share the events, news, and stories of education at USD 475.

The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people. The employee is responsible for the work output of others. The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- To serve as the district-level photographer and videographer and to ensure that media events are being reported on and covered by the district.
- Assist with the development of promotional and informational materials.
- Assist with the development, updating, structure, design and content of district websites as assigned.
- To assist in the development and updating of all district and school building social media websites and to ensure that use of social media in the district falls within the proper web guidelines and procedures of USD 475.
- To assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing material and news items.
- To assist district wide communications functions as designated by the Executive Director of Marketing and Media Relations. This may include, but is not limited to developing district presentations and materials.
- To assist in the effective transformation of district communications using platforms and concepts such as, but not limited to, social media, web conferencing, podcasting, wikis, blogs, and live streaming technologies.
- To assist the Marketing and Media Relation's Department with school and community relations activities and programs by serving as a liaison to community groups and organizations.
Salary Range: Pay will range from $16.40 to $17.40
Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of one time per year.
