In this role you will work out of our corporate headquarters (Service Center) located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The NHA Service Center is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. Our 400 brilliant team members are brag-worthy. With a diverse group of departments like admissions, talent acquisition, facilities, legal services, and many more working together to provide top level back-office support. The Service Center is a place of bright colors, smiling faces, and opportunity. We like to gather for events such as the fall crocktoberfest cook-off, the sparkling holiday party full of fun and unexplainable excitement, and our annual 5K Service Center fun run.

Your Role

  • Collaboratively design, develop, coordinate, and deliver intentional, high impact learning as needed for all leadership development programs within the NHA Leadership Scope and Sequence; including instructor-led sessions both face to face and virtual, e-learning, and learning extensions.
  • Partner with NHA's events team to coordinate the logistics for leadership development program events (Dean Prep Academy, Regional Trainings, Leadership Summit, Principal Prep Academy, etc.)
  • Coordinate NHA's leadership development programs, including managing the application process, scheduling and conducting interviews, compiling applicant data for review, communicating acceptance decisions, creating program calendars, handling participant communication, and procuring or creating participant resources.
  • Coordinate projects, activities and plans with other relevant Service Center departments, and maintain positive professional working relationships with relevant departments (School Quality, C&I, Intervention Services, SpEd, I&A, People Services, Legal, Accounting, Facilities, etc.).
  • Collaborate on school diagnostic and development visits for buildings as needed
  • Collaborate with DSQs on PD for their cohorts of deans/principals
  • Contribute to the growth and development of high performing deans within the Dean Content Leader program
  • Additional duties as assigned


Requirements

  • College diploma (BA or equivalent) or higher in Education or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of School Administrator (NHA dean experience preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of instruction, team building, and school leadership
  • Deep knowledge of the NHA Dean Model
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to see complex project through from start to finish
  • Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of adult teaching and learning theory
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, as a member of the department, and as a team member
  • Familiar with NHA systems, processes and metrics
  • Ability and willingness for periodic travel
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to coach leaders at any level
