Salary Range: $17.12 - $20.74 per hour

Essential Functions and Objectives:

- Supports operations through practical application of knowledge, use of proven techniques, and adherence to procedures. Primary focus on execution of assigned tasks in a specific area of responsibility, with a technical emphasis; such as; equipment, machinery, or scientific/chemical

- Provide differentiated support for school staff members in the functional use of AT devices. Develop support tools as needs arise for device usage.

- Assist with existing and new technology set-up and management. Manage AT Department inventory and distribution systems.

- Provide training and support to Special Education staff related to the use of Assistive Technology. Problem solve and research solutions as issues arise.

- Support staff in student technology use across departments within Student Equity & Opportunity.

- Ensure that inventory and distribution systems align with broader AT Implementation Plan. Collaborate with relevant district departments to ensure cohesion of technology systems.

- Direct communications with device vendors to troubleshoot network compatibility and other technology troubleshooting.

- Participate in AT department long-term planning and collaborate closely with Special Education and Related Services departments to coordinate efforts.

- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Two (2) or more years of experience in assistive technology

- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance

- Effective communication skills

- Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines

- Strong attention to detail

- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information

- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students

- Work collaboratively with others on a team

- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and fast-paced environment

- Ability to drive to school locations on a weekly basis, and lift 40 pounds without assistance.

- Previous experience training or instructing on technology skills in an educational environment.

- Experience with common assistive technology devices and software, including Read & Write, BoardMaker, Clicker 7, etc.

Education Requirements:

- High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent.
