Starting Hourly Range: $17.11-$20.47

This position will be in combination with Job ID: 33573 to equal a 1.0 FTE.

Essential Functions and Objectives:

- Working with Intro to Robotics students on robotics builds and programs utilizing Labview, Arduino, and Ardublok programming languages. LEGO Mindstorms, NXT and EV3 bricks, Tetrix robotics kits, and Sparkfun Inventor kits.

- Understanding of current Macintosh and Windows computer operating systems (OS).

- Understanding of login procedures for network use (Infinite Campus, Email, Fileservers, etc.)

- Application usage and navigation of standard/similar features and menus.

- Installation of applications on workstations and knowledge of ethical use and copyright.

- Ability to problem solve and research solutions.

- Troubleshooting for: computer hardware or software and ability to distinguish between the two, assisting teachers in technology use, network log-in and printing, network navigation through Intranet (DPSNet), telephone and voice mail usage.

- Assisting with new technology set-up and management

- Monitor, as directed, computer related expenditures, supplies, and inventory.

- Active Directory administration for school labs to set print queues and maintain student access accounts.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Experience with computer hardware and software.

- Three (3) years' experience working is one or more fields of technology.

- Previous experience training or instructing on media skills in an educational environment preferred.

- Demonstrate an understanding and willingness to incorporate math concepts (Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus), project management, and basic computer programming skills into teaching students at the Media Center.

- Experience in application and design of project-based instruction using inquiry, constructivism and Story Centered Curriculum.

- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of multimedia elements including video, sound, and authoring tools.

- Desire and willingness to maintain and learn new skills, Complete training programs, and attend meetings, as required.

- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, business and community groups, and others who may benefit the schools technology goals.

- Ability to develop a school level technology vision that integrates with the district's technology plan.

- Ability to take the lead on troubleshooting computer malfunctions.

- Organizational skills necessary to maintain one or more large projects.

- Parts, kits, and tools maintenance and organization.

- Assistance with and availability to travel to occasional Saturday competitions as needed. BEST ROBOTICS, SEAPERCH ROBOTICS, FRC, etc.

- Experience with shop/powertools

Education Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED required

- Bachelor's degree preferred
