School Nurse - Part TIme

Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing special education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team. We are seeking a part-time School Nurse for our campus in Mount Prospect, IL.

Camelot Therapeutic Day School of Mount Prospect provides academic and therapeutic services for children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3 through 21 with extraordinary needs including Emotional Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Speech and Language, Developmental Delays, Intellectual Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injuries we are currently seeking a Clinical Director to join our team.

The School Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing services to students, administrative duties, medication administration and management and assist school leadership with nursing related issues in order to enhance health and wellness in the school. The School Nurse will also provide training for staff on related issues.

This position will working approximately 20 hours a week during school hours.

Experience and Skills:

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

• Illinois Registered Nurse License required (others will not be considered)
• School Nurse Endorsement preferred
• Two years experience working as a Nurse
• Experience working in a therapeutic education setting preferred
• Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
