- NYS Family and Consumer Science certification, or working toward, required
- Develop, lead, and/or teach educational classes which focus on: 1) making healthy choices; 2) nurturing families; 3) embracing life as you age; 4) securing financial stability; 5) promoting healthy homes and communities; 6) consumer sciences programming areas including: food and nutrition; family resource management; human development and family relations; health, safety and wellness; leadership development; clothing and textiles; housing and the environment; home based and micro business.
- Implement educational programs which strengthen families and individuals.
- Work as part of the Work-based Learning Team to create and teach cross-curricular lesson plans to help students learn work and life skills to be successful after high school
- Participate in Professional Development provided by the district
- Implement school-wide PBIS system within the classroom
- Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention required and provided by district
- Attend WBL Team meetings and any other appropriate meetings throughout the day
- Willingness to volunteer for extra-curricular school activities is a plus
