A passionate Work Based Learning Site Supervisor is needed at the K12 partner school, Georgia Cyber Academy. We want you to be a part of our talented team!

The mission of GCA is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. Work Based Learning (WBL) Site Supervisor will report directly to Work Based Learning Coordinator and will supervise work sites for the WBL Program to ensure student safety above all else. The purpose of the position is to ensure compliancy with Department of Education WBL program guidelines, ensure student safety and provide adequate number of compliant job sites for Work Based Learning applicants State wide.

  • Evaluation of potential job sites
  • On the Job Injuries (in conjunction with WBL/YAP Coordinator)
  • Regularly Scheduled and Unannounced visits to work sites
  • Student/Mentor Matching
  • Work Site Orientation
  • Maintaining Employer Relationships
  • Access and recommend students for employer interviews (in cooperation with counselor and CTAE instructors if appropriate).
  • Monitoring student progress, hours and learning goals
  • Promotion of Employability Skill Development
  • Access and recommend students for employer interviews (in cooperation with counselor and CTAE instructors if appropriate).

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning.
Requirements
Minimum required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • 3 Years Experience in Human Resources or Work Based Learning Program or related field OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None Required
OTHER REQUIRED qualifications
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
