Assist special education teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom, insuring the continuance of the education program developed by the teacher. See attached job description for additional information.
Qualifications
"Qualified" means having an associate's degree or higher; or having completed 2 years of post secondary study; or meeting a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a state or local assessment (CAPE test or Certificate of Competency). All paraprofessionals must also complete twenty (20) hours of professional development related to their assignment each school year in order to continue employment. All Personal Care Assistants must hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certification and keep same current.
Terms of Employment
Full-time, 188 days, follows a year round stretch schedule
Salary
ESPA pay scale, minimum $13.37/hour, benefits included
