Description
Assist a student in self-sufficiency, communication, interpersonal, social, academic and mobility skills. Assist student with balance, following directions, fine and/or gross motor activities, assist student on/off the van, prompts to stay focused, complex support needs, etc. See attached job description for additional information.
Qualifications
"Qualified" means having an associate's degree or higher; or having completed 2 years of post secondary study; or meeting a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a state or local assessment (CAPE test or Certificate of Competency). All paraprofessionals must also complete twenty (20) hours of professional development related to their assignment each school year in order to continue employment. All Personal Care Assistants must hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certification and keep same current.

Full-time, 188 days

ESPA pay scale, minimum $13.37/hour, benefits

- HS diploma/GED, requiredExperience working with behavior issues and working with children, preferred.Willingness to obtain "qualified" status within one (1) year from date of hire.
