    SUMMARY :
    This Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) position is grant-funded, and it is anticipated to be funded for a maximum of three years. The role of the My Choice Program Manager is to provide clinical management and oversight, consultation, evaluation and direct case management services (as required) to youth and their families and to assure timely and accurate documentation of the services provided through a multi­disciplinary and inter/interagency team. This role will be achieved in a manner that is behavioral oriented with a strength based; family focused and needs driven philosophy. Overall program management - including development of protocols for students selection, maintaining records and student/family information (with strict adherence to student data privacy laws under FERPA), and other operational/administrative duties for the Intensive Services program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
    *Must possess a Colorado Department of Education License, Principal License preferred
    *Minimum three years working with youth whose behavior or life circumstances place them at risk of academic failure in school desired
    *Familiar with family assistant resources and/or wraparound process
    *Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired
    *Strong oral and written communication skills
    *Strong interpersonal skills
    *Demonstrated skill in school supervision and evaluation
    *Clear focus on student achievement
    *Sound understanding of school curriculum and instruction including competency based instruction, balanced literacy, and sheltered instruction
    *Demonstrated applied knowledge in systems change, shared decision making, and issues management
    *Knowledge of child development and adult learning theories and practices
    *Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
    *Ability to team and collaborate at advanced levels
    *Commitment to on-going professional learning
    *Must possess current CPR/First aid certification or obtain prior to start
    *Must provide own transportation to and from the primary work site and to meetings throughout the District and Metro area
    *Must pass a pre-placement District physical
    *Oral and written fluency in Spanish desired
    *Knowledge of the Competency-Based System
    *Knowledge of District assessments, reporting & recording tools, and the database systems, ie; Scantron, Empower, and Infinite Campus

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
    *Fosters a positive school climate by assessing, planning, and communicating with the school community; promoting distributive leadership while demonstrating understanding of and respect and appreciation for cultural diversity.
    *Promotes a positive tone for collaborative school/community relations by articulating the mission, seeking community support, and fostering rapport with all stakeholders.
    *Confers with parents and staff to discuss educational activities, policies, and student behavioral or learning problems.
    *Develops skills to aid in the modeling and promoting of the continuous use of data to inform practice and drive decision-making and instruction.
    *Universal Engagement Skills: Meet, greet and make youth/young adult and family feel welcome. Explain and clarify their role and the role of services. Assess immediate risk for safety and manage resources for stabilizing that risk. Arrange for the collection of relevant information regarding the family's story, current situation, and family strengths and needs. Manage team membership for planning team. Clarify and communicate initial conditions that brought referrals to the agency. Complete regulatory documents and outcome measures in a timely manner. Reach agreement with youth/young adult and family about privacy needs.
    *Universal Planning Skills: Organize team members for a planning meeting. Engage team members in developing an overall plan of care that includes a team mission statement, addresses initial conditions that brought the youth/family for help, builds on strengths, addresses needs, documents safety contingencies, details actions and specifies an evaluation process. Guide the team members towards open, strengths based, family friendly problem solving. Manage and maintain necessary paperwork, information and technology systems. Locate, engage and manage services and resources across, system, community and family resources.
    *Universal Implementation Skills: Facilitate communication among all team members in planning meetings regarding the follow through, timeliness and outcomes of planned interventions. Manage and allocate resources needed to implement the interventions outlined in the Program Plan. Manage additional services (i.e. health, medication, psychological testing) and provide linkages / referral to these services as identified in Program Plan. Involve team members in decisions to make changes as needed. Maintain a healing and helpful relationship with youth, young adult and family. Guide team to implement the interventions of the plan and update as necessary. Monitor cases to ensure continued eligibility.
    *Universal Transition Skills: Empower team members to assess the appropriateness of shift into transition phase. Analyze progress toward the meeting of service goals. Review existing response strategies. Empower family members to revisit and revise program plan as needed. Prepare and distribute a written transition plan that communicates schedules for ending formal services and follow-up or community resources available. Prepare all necessary reports for referring and participating agencies related to the close of service.
    *Data Monitoring: Support student and Team in using continuous improvement framework. Guide students and Parents in their own data monitoring, through self-tracking of progress toward their individual goals, and train parents to access their student's attendance and academic progress using enhanced data systems.
    *Program Evaluation: Conduct extensive evaluation of our My Choice Program case management programming overall, as well as collecting and evaluating data on the effectiveness of programs and services to which students are referred. Complete all required grant reports.
    *Know, comply, and maintain all HIPPA and FERPA regulations pertaining to student and family data privacy. Comply with District mandatory reporting guidelines. Know and consistently implement district safety and health procedures. Know and follow district policies and procedures in carrying out all job duties. Represent the district professionally and appropriately with all constituencies and in the community.
