.2FTE Language Arts Coordinator
Start date: September 1, 2019
Minimum NYS Certification: Literacy B-6
Qualifications:
This position includes a .8 Reading position and .2 Language Arts Coordinator position. The reading teacher portion will include working with students in Tier 2 or Tier 3 support and working collaboratively with a team of reading teachers. The role of the LA Coordinator will be to build an embedded and collaborative network of support for teachers that fosters the building's literacy vision and District curriculum. Time would include working with Literacy Coaches, reading teachers, principal, teachers and colleagues at the building and district level on student data, School Based Support Team, professional development, state and local assessments, curriculum, and scheduling. Literacy and/or Reading certification is required.
