Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience teaching and will have a collaborative, creative and flexible approach. This is not a school for teachers who are looking for status quo.

The school prepares students for engaged global citizenship in the modern world, with an approach that combines language immersion, interdisciplinary learning, a global curriculum and a culture of creativity and deep collaboration.

Students in all schools in the group will graduate fluent in a second language and at ease beyond their borders. To this end, the program immerses students in English as well as Mandarin, developing understanding and facility in their home and second languages.

Candidates will teach highly engaging, play-based curriculum that guides meaningful, rich learning, as well as support all students’ maturation and development, targeting support to address individual needs. Responsibilities include building a warm, supportive, respectful learning atmosphere, and collaborate intensively and daily with colleagues to continually improve student learning and culture. Don't miss the chance to inspire trust and confidence among parents and families, and to participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning.

Candidates will need student teaching or equivalent experience with children ages 2-7, and a deep dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching. The school is looking for a highly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals together, as well as someone who is very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning. A Bachelor’s degree, graduate degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred, with professional fluency in English or Mandarin Chinese; if Chinese fluent, proficient in English is an asset.

Shenzhen is situated in Guangdong Province adjacent to Hong Kong. It is approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) south of China's third-largest city, Guangzhou.

Shenzhen has a humid subtropical climate and summers are hot and wet (the monsoon season lasts from April to September) and winters are relatively mild and dry. There are about 14 million residents in Shenzhen and Cantonese is the first language for about half of these residents while the other half speak mainly Mandarin. In recent years, the city has developed a more cosmopolitan appearance with new shopping plazas, high rise buildings, a modern metro system and landscaped parks and road sides. It's a busy, lively city but parts of the cities have charm with restored churches, buildings and private residences. Having an international airport and being so close to Hong Kong opens up a world of travel opportunities from short weekend trips to longer treks around Asia in the holidays. Shenzhen really is the perfect place to base yourself in Asia!
