We are currently hiring for all of the Operational positions for the 2019-2020 school year. Please apply to this posting directly if you want to be considered for one or more of the following roles. We actively encourage bilingual candidates to apply who speak both English and languages in addition to English, particularly one of the eight major languages spoken by students in the Philadelphia School District [Spanish, French, Albanian, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, and Khmer].
  • Food Services Assistant (entry level, part-time, 10 month position supporting safe food serving operations in schools);
  • Food Service Utility Worker (full-time, 10 month position responsible for managing deliveries of food and supplies; participates in food and supplies inventory);
  • Early Childhood Food Service Worker (part-time, 10 month position supporting safe food serving operations in Pre-K Head Start programs);


Essential Functions
  • Varies (please see individual position descriptions below:
    • Food Services Assistant
    • Food Service Utility Worker
    • Early Childhood Food Service Worker


Minimum Requirements
  • A High-school Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required for every type of Operations Support position;
  • Each position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English;
  • Some positions require various levels of experience in custodial or food services work;
  • General Cleaner, Food Service Utility Worker positions require passing scores on District-issued examinations.
