Primary Functions:
Develop and update sources of supply and coordinate bidding processes in compliance with all federal, state and district purchasing laws and rules.
Qualifications - BUYER I
1. High school diploma or equivalent or special diploma required
2. Associate's Degree preferred
3. Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) Desired
4. Minimum three (3) years' of relevant work experience in daily computer applications and technology in related job functions ' preferably an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that manages purchasing and stock control. Required
Qualifications - BUYER II
1. AA/AS from Regionally Accredited University/Program required
2. BA/BS from Regionally Accredited University/Program desired
3. Certified Procurement Buyer (CPPB) achieved within two years of employment required
4. Certified Professional Procurement Officer (CPPO) desired
5. Minimum three (3) years' of relevant work experience in daily computer applications and technology in related job functions ' preferably an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that manages purchasing and stock control. At least two (2) of these years demonstrated successful purchasing experience in a public entity, preferably with a school system. Required
