The Special Education Teacher will fulfill the following, and other duties:

Develop and implement high quality IEPs for students.

Plan for and implement specially designed instruction to meet academic, social, emotional, behavioral, functional, and other needs of students.

Develop and implement positive behavioral supports and Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavior Intervention Plans in order to meet student needs and influence students so they are safe and successful at school.

Collaborate effectively by co-planning with general education staff in order to provide appropriate classroom opportunities for all students on caseload.

Develop positive, productive relationships with students and their families.

Use data driven practices to set appropriate goals and monitor student progress.

Plan for and collaborate with special education assistants so they are able to effectively support students.
