Manager Trainee - Food Service

D epartment: Enterprise Management, Food and Nutrition Services

Schedule: 40 hours per week

S alary: starting at $12.50 hourly

Essential Functions and Objectives:

We are currently recruiting for the Food Service Manager Trainee Program. We are looking for motivated candidates with strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to lead and work as a working manager successfully within a team in a fast-paced environment. The program consists of classroom and hands-on kitchen training. Qualified candidates will receive school food service training, kitchen equipment training, HACCP, sanitation, computer training including ordering and inventory, and much more. Upon successful completion of this program, you will have the opportunity to be re-assigned to a floating manager and travel throughout the district. All eligible candidates will be able to apply for manager positions for the following school year.

Skill and Requirements:

- Basic computer skills

- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and time management/organizational skills

- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment is preferred, but not required

- Must possess a valid drivers license and current automobile insurance

- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
