    PCincinnati Public Schools is seeking District Wide Mentor - Lead Teacher-Early Childhood (preK exp required)
    (Full time release)

    Position: District Wide Mentor - Lead Teacher-

    Department: Human Resources

    Reports to: Director of Human Resources

    General Function: To assist and evaluate teachers on the Cincinnati Teacher Evaluation System caseload.

    Qualifications:
    • Teachers with lead teacher credentials will be considered first.
    • Demonstrates a high level of teaching.
    • Obtains and maintains OTES evaluator certification.

    • Possesses skills in word processing, database/spreadsheet management.
    Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists, observes, and evaluates teachers.
  • Plans and implements practicum for new hires.
  • Provides assistance to teachers such as providing or arranging for classroom materials, reviewing curriculum, reviewing teaching standards and rubrics, suggesting and discussing of teaching and classroom management techniques, orienting to record-keeping requirements, demonstrating teaching and/or co-teaching, arranging for observation of other teachers, and planning for instruction.
  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with evaluation staff, Peer Review Panel, administrators and teachers.
  • Adheres to all CTES dates and deadlines and submits all documentation as dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Sends copies of records of assistance, observation reports, and evaluation forms to the teachers, facilitators, and principals and to the PRP as established.
