  •    Job Title: Coordinator, Grants Project A qualified candidate is under consideration for this position. Work Year: 215 days Department: Grants Management Reports To: Coordinator, Grant Salary Range: 3 Starting Salary: $69475 Summary: Responsible for implementing and evaluating a grant-funded project at a specific building site in compliance with grant goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily 40% Implement the project on a daily basis to meet grant goals and objectives. Oversee day-to-day operation and perform staff leadership as required. Daily 5% Understand the goals, objectives and guidelines of the specific grant. Wkly 15% Develop, organize and collect data required by the grant and the District for project evaluation. Wkly 10% Provide timecards, purchase orders and check requests to the District Grants Office in a timely manner and within the grant budget and guidelines. Wkly 10% Develop new and maintain existing collaboration with community organizations that relate to the project goals. Mnthly 5% Maintain communication with parents, building staff and building administrators with regard to the project implementation. Mnthly 5% Meet regularly with the District Grant Coordinator to discuss the process of the project. Yrly 3% Work with the District Grant Coordinator to complete the evaluation component of the grant. Yrly 2% Attend relevant training for the project. Yrly 2% Work with the District Grant Coordinator to provide relevant training to project staff. Yrly 2% Hire part-time staff to work with the project as needed within grant budget and guidelines. Daily 1% Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

    Bachelor's degree in education or areas related to grant project.

    EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience in project implementation preferred, including areas related to goals of project. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EQUIPMENT & OTHER: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills. Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, Microsoft Word and Excel and the Internet. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: None required. SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY: This position supervises program implementation including providing direction for personnel involved in the project. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY: Participate in monitoring and coordinating the budget and in initiating requisitions. Make recommendations regarding the administration of the budget. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands or arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. MENTAL FUNCTIONS: The employee is regularly required to compare, analyze, communicate, coordinate, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills and compile. The employee is frequently required to copy and negotiate. The employee is occasionally required to instruct and compute.
