POSITION: School Nurse
LOCATION: Laramie Middle School
SALARY: $44,460 minimum; actual salary depends on education and experience
CONTRACT: 185-day contract
START DATE: August 2019
CLOSING DATE: May 23, 2019
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree and be a registered nurse. Other desired qualifications include: experience as a school nurse; knowledge of special needs students and special education processes (IEPs); effective human relations skills, compassion; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to deal well with students in grades 6-8; effective communication skills; and ability to serve as an advocate for student needs and act as a liaison between the school and various community agencies.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will serve as school nurse at Laramie High School. The position will serve as emergency responder for special education/special needs students with special health care needs; work with other students as needed; implement health care plans; and communicate with IEP team members.
