The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Test Lead manages a team of engineers and testers to provide test execution and quality assurance services. This position must manage various types and levels of resources while regularly interfacing with development management, project management, and other project participants.

AS A SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE TEST LEAD YOU WILL . . .
  • Work with Development Managers and Project Managers to fully understand, prioritize, and support all assigned projects and implementation timelines;
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, functional test cases and automated scripts for a complex system;
  • Execute manual and automated test cases and report test results;
  • Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members;
  • Adapt in an agile environment with rapidly changing requirements;
  • Technically strong, innovative and providing solutions/guidance to test automation engineers and manual test engineers;
  • Plan and estimate automation efforts, identify critical business functions and regression test cases for potential automation and future re-use;
  • Participate in requirements and specification reviews with business teams and actively participate in design reviews, use case reviews, and defect reviews with Development and Project Management teams;

Monitor and communicate progress of test activities associated with assigned projects and report to management on project: status, risks and critical success factors.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing with specific emphasis in the web applications environment and multiple database platforms.
  • 5+ years of progressive test automation experience.
  • Have strong knowledge in relational database, SQL and able to write complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience working with Selenium IDE, Java and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) using Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery (CD) and Automated Testing (GUI and backend).
  • Experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI etc.
  • Knowledge in Unix/Linux commands, including shell scripting
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and assume full responsibility for delivering projects on time
  • Flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing concepts, and test methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team, maintaining strong relationships with peers and outside of the department. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
