Director of Curriculum and Instruction

The Cairo-Durham Central School District is now accepting applications for a Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The Director of Curriculum and Instruction directs the planning, delivery, assessment, and ongoing improvement of curriculum and instruction programs and helps maintain a school environment that is conducive to learning. The incumbent ensures the district/school educational objectives are aligned to state frameworks and to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement, instructional excellence, and community support in all subject areas.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Masters in Educational Leadership or equivalent
• New York State Teaching Certification
• New York State Certification as School District Administrator (SDA)/School District Leader (SDL)/School Building Leader (SBL) with administrative experience in a school setting demonstrating use and implementation of successful classroom management strategies, instructional strategies, positive communications with parent and staff, and a working knowledge of Pre-K -12 curriculum and Common Core Learning Standards.
