Description PURPOSE OF JOB: Leads, develops, monitors and reports on foodservice and child nutrition programmatic training in compliance with USDA and DHSS guidelines. Ensures staff readiness and competence by providing continued education specific to the role and or responsibilities of departmental staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and implements department training guides.

Maintains reporting records on all program and staff training.

Provides technical assistance to school level personnel, when requested.

Organize and plan staff training and professional development.

Tracks and monitors USDA/DHSS program compliance.

Creates and implements training guides and tools for all staff positions.

Attends and participates in community activities/school nutrition continuing education and training seminars.

Coordinates with departmental leadership to identify systematic deficiencies in operations and provides individual training plans, as needed.

Performs program audits to ensure compliance with associated funding regulations.

Develops online training aides and or modules to streamline efficient and effective program communication.

Coordinates additional training as needed to support a progressive workforce; to include, but not limited to: basic computer use, food ordering, production records, cash reconciliation, exam preparation, food safety, budgetary practices and other areas defined by the Director.

Ability to serve as an Area Supervisor in the event of an absence or position vacancy.

Develops recruiting strategies and possesses ability to facilitate candidate interviews.

Ability to work cross-functionally and learn core functions of departmental positions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Business, HR/Training, or related field.

Valid driver's license and use of an automobile.

Ability to obtain SNS professional credentialing.

Ability to obtain ServSafe Proctor certification.

Aptitude for analytical endeavors such as data analysis, work scheduling and work process analysis.

Advanced computer and office software skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in organizational training.

Experience in managing large-scale projects.

Experience in managing a diverse and challenging workforce.

Experience in child nutrition programs.
