    Employment Term: 12 months/Full-Time

    Job Goal: Responsible for assisting the Principal with the day-to-day operation of the school involving students, teachers, and classroom assistants. The Assistant Principal works with the Principal in providing daily supervision to instructional staff: interacting with parents relative to school operations, and supervising the Behavioral Supervisor for Discipline. The Assistant Principal helps set a positive tone for the school and brings high energy and enthusiasm to the position.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Reports directly to the Principal and supports the Principal in the day-to-day activities within the current laws of the State of Pennsylvania for the overall management of instruction
    2. Takes the major responsibility for enforcing the student code of conduct and is responsible for all student discipline
    3. Maintains regular contact with parents/guardians of students, and the community.
    4. Works with the Principal, the Chief Operating Officer, and Building Maintenance Supervisor to insure a safe, professional and attractive building
    5. Assists the Principal in facilitating the ordering of instructional Supplies/ equipment
    6. Is an active partner in the ongoing recruitment of students
    7. Serves as the Administrative Representative to the Parent Teacher Organization in
    8. the Principal's absence
    9. Along with the Principal is responsibility for the day-to-day Security of the building .
    10. Is responsible for any miscellaneous duties assigned by the Principal, the Superintendent/CAO or the CEO
    11. Comply with policies, regulations and procedures of CCCS; communicate effectively with parents and work collaboratively with staff.
    12. Perform other duties and/or complete special projects as assigned.

    Job Qualifications:

    1. Master's Degree (Doctorate preferred) in Educational Administration.
    2. Possess or be eligible for certification in Pennsylvania for the above-identified position.
    3. Mastery of the necessary content knowledge and skills to successfully teach assigned content area(s) and grade level(s) and deliver exceptional standards-based instruction in assigned content area(s) and grade level(s) that ensures academic growth for all students, including those with special needs.
    4. Proficiency in automated student information systems for progress and grade reporting and class work documentation and ability to integrate technology into instructional delivery.
    5. Exceptional classroom management, organization, planning, instructional delivery, leadership, and technical skills; and the ability to utilize differentiated instructional methods to engage students in positive learning experiences.
    6. Outstanding ability to motivate and build relationships with students and parents to promote student achievement and strengthen community partnerships.
    7. Commendable history of effective leadership, extra-curricular participation, an acceptable attendance record, and exemplary performance.
    8. Secure three background checks (PA State Criminal, PA Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting)
