Position: Teacher-Special Education (Consultant)
Location: Career & Technical Education - Mohonasen Campus
Basic Function:
To manage academic, social and emotional needs of children with disabilities in various Special Education programs.
Qualifications:
A.NYS teaching certification in General Special Education K-12 or Students with Disabilities 7-12
B.Teaching experience with students who have a variety of disabilities
Responsibilities:
1.Assessment, curriculum development (IEP) instruction and evaluation of students with disabilities.
2.This teaching position requires deep knowledge of behavior management and trauma informed instruction, as well as literacy, math and instructional skills concomitant to the Common Core Learning Standards.
3.Serve as liaison between students, regular educators, CSE and parents.
