SUMMARY:

This is a temporary, summer position beginning early June.

The School Based Enrollment Coordinator works closely with families, school districts and the company's central Enrollment and Document Processing teams to oversee and coordinate all aspects of student enrollments and reenrollments.

This is a temporary, summer position beginning July 1.

Must be able to commute to our Grand Rapids office daily.

• Assists with the student enrollment/reenrollment process working closely with K12 Enrollment and Document Processing teams with a particular focus on part-time enrollments;
• Facilitates stakeholder communications throughout the enrollment process serving as a single point of contact for students, prospective students, parents, district administrative personnel and reporting agencies;
• Ensures State compliancy guidelines are met for incoming enrollments; Creates and amends school specific enrollment forms and student files to conform to State s laws and school preferences;
• Trains and oversees temporary placement staff through annual enrollment process;
• Provides internal reviews and edits of work completed by parents and centrally based enrollment personnel during enrollment process;
• Manages re-registration process for enrolled families making decisions for next year including the training of all school staff, processing documents, and working with families directly;
• Maintains a relationship with the corporate office-based enrollment team communicating regularly about deadlines, policies, State legislative changes, and school updates.

• Assists Operations Manager with the development of school enrollment policies, procedures and special enrollment compliancy projects;
• Assists with school retention efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises up to three (3) Full-time Equivalent (FTE) temporary employees and/or contractors during enrollment processes. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate's Degree OR Sixty (60) hours of post-secondary education AND • Three (3) years of K-12 enrollment experience OR • Equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates and Licenses: None required. OTHER REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Great organizational and time management skills • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in MS Excel, MSWord, and Outlook • Ability to pass required background check PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Post-secondary degree • Managerial and/or training experience K12 is a Federal Contractor, an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace.
