Graduate Assistant (Part-Time Position)
LOCATION:
District Administration Building
SUMMARY
The GEAR UP 189 Graduate Assistant, Data Management will report to and be under the direct supervision of the GEAR UP 189 Program Manager. The GADM is responsible for:
• Database management - implement policies and protocols to manage collected data and ensure data quality and integrity; maintain infrastructure of online reporting portal and data collection system; create custom reports that are developed to specified federal standards and extract data as needed; create data dictionaries to build organizational understanding of internal data; set up and track event registration in online portal while managing pertinent communication with registrants
• Data collection and reports - analyze internal data to create accurate, easily interpretable reports; develop and maintain standard and custom queries to extract data from existing databases; create easily accessible platforms that empower coworkers to locate and understand data; support a process to reduce duplication of efforts in addressing organizational data needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Must be currently enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in a graduate program. Superior written, analytical and oral communication skills required. Prepare reports and data analysis using current and available technologies not limited to but including Microsoft Office Suite. Experience effectively providing customer service required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who have experience working with low-income, first generation students or programs or have overcome barriers similar to target population. Professional experience working with a TRIO program or other federal grant programs.
