If so, our Summit Street School (grades PreK-3) is now accepting applications for an Elementary Classroom teaching position. Position is temporary for the 2019-20 school year.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid VT Educator license with an Elementary Education (1-00) endorsement. Additional qualifications being sought include, but are not limited to the following:
- Understanding of word study, reader's workshop, & writer's workshop
- Experience implementing a standards-based mathematics program
- Knowledge of and commitment to PBIS
- Knowledge of technology integration, curriculum mapping, formative assessment, & differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaboratively work on a grade level team
- Strong background and/or experience working with elementary age students, especially third grade students
- Ability to implement a focus of literacy across the content areas, and expertise in utilizing technology to support instruction
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Common Core Standards
- Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students
- Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to the success of ALL students, and ability to understand and teach to the various learning styles of students
- The ability to effectively engage students
- Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice
