BIA West plans to locate at 4300 Sidehill Rd. in Southeast Baltimore City. BIA West will open in 2019-2020 with Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 6th Grade, and will expand yearly to become a Pre-K-8th Grade school.

BIA West's model will be full immersion in K-5th Grade, and partial immersion in 6-8th Grade. BIA West will also be an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering both the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP).

BIA West's principal will be employed by Baltimore City Public Schools and must meet state certification requirements.
