We're hiring for a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year (2019-2020 ) as a full-time job in South Chicago, IL.

As a Special Education Teacher for Futures Education, you will be providing school-based educational services to children in the South Chicago area. You will also have the additional support of the therapist-owned and operated management team at Futures Education.

As a member of our team, the Special Education Teacher will have an opportunity to work hands-on, each day to help improve the lives of children. The Special Education Teacher will work individually with the student to help achieve favorable outcomes. Ideal candidates will have strong background in developing and overseeing the special education program to ensure that all students have the resources and supports in place to meet the goals set in their individual education plans (IEPs). Candidates should have proficiency designing differentiated instruction and progress monitoring tools to serve students needing special services. Special education teachers should engage in ongoing collaboration with general education teachers, clinicians, and parents/guardians. Case manager's experience is desired.

Special Education Teacher (SPED) Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Master's in SPED or SPED Endorsement
  • Related fieldwork experience preferred
  • Commitment to Excellence in Education
  • Illinois Special Educators License
