Employees in this position will teach Social Studies classes of various levels and areas such as American History, Global Studies, Civics, Psychology, Economics, and Sociology. Effective use of computer and technology to support instruction and personalized student learning is required. The teacher should be well-trained in the implementation of the CT Social Studies Framework and CT Core Standards with rigor, purpose, and planning to meet individual student learning needs.
Responsibilities
Work year is 187 days, salary based on appropriate GEA salary.

- Ability to teach Advanced Placement courses are particularly desired.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to complete the lesson plan as well as improve the instructional program for students
- Attend all department meetings and professional development activities
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/ House Administrator
Work year is 187 days, salary based on appropriate GEA salary.
Qualifications
- Graduated from Accredited University
- CT Certification is required (026)
- Strong communication skills orally and in writing
