REPORTS TO
This job assignment receives administrative direction from the High School Principal, Assistant Principal (Director of Athletics), Head Coach, or other administrator as assigned.

RATE OF PAY
Hourly Stipend- $24.97/hour through 06/30/19, $25.47/hour starting 7/1/19

Assist with the coaching of soccer summer camp. Camp will take place in June and July during the day, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. depending on the assignment. There will be a total of 25 horus for both boys and girls for camp. There also will be an additional 25 hours for both boys and girls summer contest.

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
This job assignment is accountable for assisting in instructing student athletes in a specific sports activity and providing leadership in helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, and appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship and an increased level of self-esteem.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Valid Illinois Driver's License;
2. Successful completion of a Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance;
3. Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens Training/Hepatitis B Shots Series Training;
4. Current teacher certification or substitute certification in the State of Illinois, or complete the American Sports Education Program (ASEP) coaching certification set forth by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA);
5. May be required to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the assignment and is not intended to be an exhaustive
listing of all duties.
1. Assists head coach in planning and scheduling a regular program of practice in season in accordance with District
policy and Illinois High School Association (IHSA) rules/ regulations;
2. Assists head coach with end of year inventory and award information as requested;
3. Assists head coach with team rosters as requested;
4. Assists in managing athlete behavior during all athletic practices, competitions, and events;
5. Assists in overseeing the safety conditions of the facility/area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times,
especially, when students are present;
6. Assists the head coach in assigned sport and associated activities;
7. Assists the head coach, when necessary, in scheduling contests and transportation where applicable;
8. Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for successful performance;
9. Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and assists in establishing and overseeing penalties for
breach of such standards by individual students;
10. Ensures appropriate dress at practices and events;
11. Ensures practice and repetition of fundamentals;
12. Ensures proper care of equipment;
13. Ensures proper organization of practices and drills;
14. Ensures that all tasks are completed in a timely manner;
15. Follows all procedures and protocols set forth by the Round Lake High School Coaches Handbook;
16. Follows District procedures in establishing performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in
assigned sport;
17. Maintains complete and accurate records as required (e.g. attendance forms, insurance records, file accident
reports, etc.);
18. Maintains satisfactory attendance, as defined in District policy and regulations (GCBD/GDBD);
19. Provides a positive learning environment for the athletes;
20. Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate;
21. Shares responsibility with head coach for field or court preparation;
22. Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities;
23. Performs related duties as assigned.
