A passionate Operations Manager is needed at the K12 partner school, Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA). We want you to be a part of our talented team!

Arkansas Virtual Academy provides an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. Student success will be measured by valid and reliable assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth within the academic community. Join us!
  • Serve as a systems and school policy/procedure information resource to school staff and families by providing solutions and ultimate resolution through the management of escalated communications and multiple platform-based internal ticketing systems.
  • Serve as a member of the district's leadership team, working collaboratively with other school administrators to develop, document, disseminate, and maintain operational policy and procedure.
  • Operationalize all systems timeline detail and ordering of courses for students and teachers in a State wide online school.
  • Serve as primary process and procedure officer, reviewing current policy and procedure, and crafting and communicating institutional workflow detail for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a local, permission-based electronic platform to support the sharing of operational documents among administration and staff.
  • Lead, manage and support a local operations staff currently comprised of 3 team members which may expand in total.
  • Support local testing coordinator administrator to ensure a high-rate of student State assessment participation, holding in trust the school's commitment to successful testing.
  • Manage the integrity, confidentiality, and security of all student information per State and federal law and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the management of student information entry and changes for internal and State web-based systems to include student demographics, school calendar, course scheduling, and all detail required for successful State reporting.
  • Successfully manage all student information reporting efforts to the internal review department as well as federal, State , and local government agencies.
  • Serve as point of contact for internal or external audits related to student information and/or operational policy and procedure.
  • Interface positively and successfully with: the school's leadership, the State , K12, and all involved stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Successfully complete training expectations in accordance with a scheduled timeline.
  • Maintain a positive outlook in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing work environment.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning. Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Formal project management experience
  • Strong technology skills, preferably from work experience
  • Excel and/or database experience
  • Operations management experience including a track record of overseeing and evaluating a group of diverse, cross-functional employees
  • Project management experience in fast-paced project or start-up company
  • Non-profit or K-12 education grants management responsibility
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working within eSchool and/or TRIAND
  • Experience with school building facilities management
