DUTIES:

1.Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Clinical and Behavioral Services.

2.Administer comprehensive psych educational assessments that address the areas of suspected disability.

3.Write comprehensive and professional reports on assessment results that provide recommendations for services and supports to address areas of concern.

4.Participate in 603 CMR Team meetings as an evaluator to help determine special education eligibility.

5.Work in collaboration with school adjustment counselors, principals and other staff members.

6.Provide professional development to staff on topics relevant to special education and school psychology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.

2.Certified as a School Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Education.

3.Licensing as an Educational Psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Allied Mental Health is preferred (all levels).

4.Prefer three years, on a full-time basis, as a psychologist dealing with problems of children of school age. One of these years should have been in a school setting. A year of suitable internship experience may be counted toward the three year requirement.

5.Prefer two years of successful teaching experience.

6.Proven ability to work effectively with/for children and adults in a multi-cultural community.

7.Empathetic to the needs of young people and adults in the area of special needs.

8.Bilingual/Bicultural (Hispanic) is preferred, but not required.
