Min-Mid Annual Salary Range: $75,626 - $90,645

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY: Support the employees of the District as a member of Educational Research and Design through instructional support and intervention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the teacher performance support process. Coordinate pre-induction teacher supports.

Facilitate and coordinate the design and implementation of induction programs for teachers in their first two years in Jeffco. Utilize content expertise to effectively develop induction training or materials.

Facilitate and coordinate systematic (face to face and digital) support of new educators' mentors, and support teams. Coordinate the teacher induction design team resulting in program improvements annually. Submit yearly program evaluation.

Facilitate and serve as primary instructor for all mentor training programs. Serve as a facilitator within the instructional coach community and Educational Research and Design.

Coordinate development or revision of budget each year.

Work across to access resources for teachers in order to support student learning.

Partner with principals, individual teachers, school sites, and articulation areas to implement District initiatives.

Work with Human Resources and Information Technology to ensure systems are in place for documenting growth toward and completion of induction.

Communicate and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Participate in metro and state induction networks.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE A minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience. Previous successful experience working with adult learners. Experience using a variety of assessment tools including best practices in the areas of classroom instruction, differentiation, assessments, and interventions. Demonstrated understanding of a K-12 perspective for new teachers. Experience effectively facilitating teacher professional development.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Masters degree in education field. Most recent Performance Evaluation with a "effective or highly effective" in all performance areas and overall performance.

CERTIFICATION Colorado Principal License. Valid Colorado driver's license required for hire

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT Excellent verbal and written communication skills and positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrated expertise in supporting teachers to apply best practices for all students ranging in abilities from special needs to accelerated learners. Demonstrated understanding of a response to intervention process including the use of a variety of assessments and core, strategic and intensive strategies. Demonstrated leadership skills in the area of professional development including organizing and facilitating sessions. Knowledge and comfort with technology applications that support District curriculum. Knowledge of and experience with District's commitment to a guaranteed and viable curriculum including current work of the content teams. Knowledge and ability to think flexibly and to adapt work to the needs across ERD. Knowledge of current research and issues in the area of teacher support. Demonstrated ability to consult with a variety of groups and individuals. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and to meet deadlines.

DECISION MAKING Decision making involves designing and implementing the induction program for the District's induction program. Requires knowledge of District and school policies/procedures and applicable state/local/federal laws. Errors could potentially result in substantial embarrassment and/or cost to the District.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS Daily contact with, ERD leadership, principals and teachers to support and implement the induction program and Human Resources and Information Technology for documenting growth toward and completion of induction.

SPAN OF CONTROL This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATIONAL DELIVERY Oversees the implementation of induction programs. Facilitate and coordinate to support new educators', mentors, and support teams as it relates to teacher induction program improvements

COMPLEXITY OF WORK Work is directed by the Executive Director, Educator Effectiveness. Requires a high degree of independent judgment and interpretation within the District, federal, and state policies, procedures, and laws that guide the induction program. Ability to implement national, state, and district initiatives. Requires adult facilitation skills; trained on coaching in order to support student learning.
