Notes: This is a seasonal position that will end on September 6, 2019.This positon will work 4 hours a day 3-4 days a week (mornings preferred).

Purpose: The Team Supervisor will be given discretion as to how projects are implemented and be expected to problem-solve specific challenges as they arise. The team supervisor must also work within the larger Urban Farm Program farm-plan, which has been established as part of an academic program that runs throughout the school year. The Team Supervisor will follow direction consistent with the vision of the Urban Farm Program.

  • WeedingManaging irrigation and repairsPlanting and caring for cropsHarvesting produceManaging garden pestsManaging compostCaring for chickens & collecting eggsRunning and maintaining equipmentPreparing the Market / Farm Stand and a booth at Corvallis Farmers MarketDonating leftover produce to the local food pantryScheduling student workersManaging student timecardsPurchasing suppliesTracking income and expensesMaintaining positive relationships and interactions between students and community members; including giving tours as requested.Supervising 3-8 Urban Farm Student Summer Worker's hours.

  • Must have experience and be comfortable working with at-risk youth.Experience farming, gardening, and/or caring for livestock.Experience leading team projects is critical.Candidates must be comfortable leading a small team that will work closely throughout the summer.Must have valid Oregon driver's license and pass a background check.
