We're hiring for a Special Education Teacher for a part-time job in Tucson, AZ for the 2019-2020 School Year.
As a Special Education Teacher for Futures Education, you will be providing school-based educational services to students in Tucson, AZ. You will work directly in the school and have the additional support of the therapist-owned and operated management team at Futures Education.
As a member of our team, the Special Education Teacher will have an opportunity to work hands-on, working one day per week (up to 8 hours per week), to help improve the lives of children. The Special Education Teacher will work individually with the students to help achieve favorable outcomes. Ideal candidates will have strong background in developing and overseeing the special education program to ensure that all students have the resources and supports in place to meet the goals set in their individual education plans (IEPs / currently 15 students on caseload). Candidates should have proficiency designing differentiated instruction and progress monitoring tools to serve students needing special services. Special education teachers should engage in ongoing collaboration with general education teachers, clinicians, and parents/guardians. Case manager experience is desired.
