The State College Area School District Department of Gifted Services anticipates adding another position to join its growing team starting with the 2019/20 school year.
This teacher will be responsible for organizing, implementing, and supporting modified instructional strategies to meet the needs of gifted learners both in and out and out of the general education classes in elementary and secondary programs. The teaching of advanced mathematics courses may also be part of this position.
The District seeks dynamic, energetic educators who are student focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of K-12 learners. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position. The District is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development, and also possess a variety of professional experiences. Experience with Special Education documentation and procedures is preferred.
Pennsylvania Math and Elementary certification and K-12 Gifted Endorsement (or the ability to obtain all three) is required.
