Job Description
Gestalt Community Schools is seeking part-time, teacher assistants to assist with tutoring as part of the 21st Center After school Program to work up to 12 hours per week beginning at 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Teaching assistants will be assigned to the Elementary grade levels.
The assignments will paid on a semi-monthly basis and will continue through May 2019.
Responsibilities:
Assist with academic support activities including tutoring
Assist with creation of curriculum and lesson plans aligned with program objective
Perform other activities requested by Site Coordinator
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher;
Prefer candidates that are pursuing career in teaching and are enrolled in a teacher preparation program;
Demonstrated skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a high concentration on Word, and Excel;
Demonstrated energy, drive, determination, and persistence to achieve goals;
Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently;
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures;
Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization;
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information;
Excellent organizational skills; and,
Strong customer service and results orientation.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $10.00 /hour
