Erie High School (EHS) offers rigorous academic programs that prepare students to be college and career ready by providing students with the opportunity to conduct collegiate level work, earn college credits and forge potential career networking opportunities. Erie High School is home to the Engineering and Aerospace Academy and is an Advanced Placement Focus School. Because of the diverse learning opportunities provided to our students, Erie High School was chosen by the College Board to host one of the first AP Capstone programs in the Colorado. Students at Erie High School take achievement to the next level in the classroom, on the performing arts stage and in the athletic arena.
- The SAT composite score for our 2018-2019 seniors was 1082.
- During the 2017-2018 academic year, 529 EHS students took one or more AP classes.
- In the spring of 2018, EHS students took 770 AP exams administered.
- In the spring of 2017, 80 percent of EHS sophomores met college readiness benchmarks on the PSAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing portion of the exam.
- EHS students can earn 65 hours of college credit by participating in these options: 18 College Board Advanced Placement courses, 8 Front Range Community College courses and CU Succeed’s college credit program.
- Students have received state and national recognition, including Boettcher Scholars finalists, National Merit Scholar finalists and appointments to the armed services academies.
- Erie High boasts several successful athletic and performing arts programs, including a nationally ranked girls softball team and many state championships and recognitions in athletics, choral, jazz band, and visual and performing arts.
