JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE NON-CHILD STUDY TEAM / SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
NJ School Social Worker Certification
NJ L.C.S.W. Certification
Experience in providing school social work services to school settings REPORTS TO Director of Special Services and/or Director of Guidance
JOB GOAL(S)
To provide on-site early intervention social work services to elementary school children.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the middle school social work program in the district.
2. Create linkage with graduate school social worker programs, which provide social worker interns to the school district.
3. Provide orientation for social work interns and middle school principals.
4. Supervise each intern for a minimum of 1.5 hours/week.
5. Supervise weekly case conferences for interns, and provide continuous support and collaboration.
6. Fulfill all field placement supervisory requirements of graduate schools.
7. Serve as liaison between principals and graduate schools.
8. Coordinate the activities of the elementary school intervention committees.
9. Provide other such social work activities as may be directed by the building principals and Director of Special Services or Director of Guidance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 10 Months
