Position Purpose: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Administrative Assistant performs a variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative and office support duties for the District's Human Resources Department. The HR Administrative Assistant provides information and assistance to school district employees and the public regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures and prepares various communications on behalf of the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Functions:

Clerical and Administrative Support
  • Provides general clerical and administrative support to the Director, as well as the staff of the Human Resources Department, maintaining schedules, composing letters, memoranda and other correspondence related to assigned human resources programs and activities.
  • Assists in budget management, travel arrangements and general support requirements of the Director as the staff of the Human Resources Department.
  • Under general direction, may compile and analyze data for special human resources projects and reports.
  • Operates a variety of types of office equipment including a computer, with associated applications and software, copier, and fax machine.
  • Prepares requisitions and orders supplies for the Human Resources Department, making any necessary budget transfers; monitors status of accounts and funds in each relevant budget line.
  • Processes reimbursements for HR staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience - Two years of related and progressively responsible experience in human resources administration activities.

Education- High School diploma required. Two years of college-level course work in business, personnel management or closely related field desired. Direct experience in Human Resources prefered, but not mandatory.
