Program Hours 8:15a-2:15p
Professional Development date and time: 6/5-6, 9:00a-3:00pPlease note all Summer Program Hires are contingent upon final confirmation of program fundingDesign and implement subject relevant curriculum
Follow and use grade and subject matter appropriate curriculum
Exhibit and utilize effective classroom management techniques
Use culturally relevant pedagogy
Design and implement differentiated instruction and assessments for various skill levels and learning types
Other duties are assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSValid California Credential authorizing service in applied position
Training and experience in the specific programs are required
Must be proficient in standards-based instruction and assessment
Demonstrate ability to motivate at-risk youth
Apex trained preferred. Please note that selected candidates will be assigned based on program needs. Selected candidates are expected to commit to the program for the duration of the assignment. Offer and continuation of employment is dependent upon level of student enrollment and attendance. Notice of employment will be sent to the selected candidates. Qualified personnel from within the district will be considered for placement. Should qualified personnel not be available, the district may accept candidates from outside the district. Per OEA contract Article 23.3.3.3, unit members will not be selected for more than two consecutive years. Should no qualified applicants apply, unit members may serve for more than two consecutive years.
