FOOD SERVICE MANAGER I
Under direction, plans, organizes, supervises and is responsible for operation of the food service cafeteria, including food quality and quantity; enforces departmental policies and procedures, and health and sanitation standards; trains and supervises support staff; participates in all kitchen activities; is responsible for food, beverages and meals served to students and adults; performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SafeServ Certificated required.
Ability to read, write and speak English at the eighth grade or higher level. High school graduation is preferred but not required. One or more years of paid experience in preparing and serving large quantities of food. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy containers of food; to understand mechanics of packing machine operation; to use small hand tools to make minor adjustments to packing machines. (Certified training by manufacturer's representative is necessary and will be provided by the district.)
GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Constantly stands and stoops at fixed work location; constantly handles materials; frequently lifts and carries heavy materials. Rapid-paced work.
