POSITION SUMMARY
: The Building Site Coordinator for Summer Learning will oversee the day-to-day operations of one of the facilities that will host a summer extended learning program supported by the Title I/LAP department: This position is ideal for teacher leaders who are interested in pursuing program and/or school administration. Site Coordinators will ensure that students and staff of their assigned location are engaged in a safe, positive, and productive learning environment and culture.
  • Four Site Coordinators will oversee incoming 150 1 st through 5th grade scholars and staff for STEM Inspired Camp Invention (Camelot, Enterprise, Olympic View, Nautilus).One Site Coordinator will oversee 100 incoming 6 th graders and staff for STEM & TRANSITION Inspired Middle Bridge Invention Project (middle school to be determined).One Site Coordinator will oversee 100 incoming 9 th grade scholars for TRANSITION Inspired Freshman Bridge at FWHS.One Site Coordinator will oversee 100 incoming 7 th through 10 th grade scholars and staff for CTE Inspired STEM Career Academy.

DATES: Training and planning dates for adults are: June Friday, June 21, Monday, June 24, and Tuesday, June 25. Scholars attend Monday through Thursdays (no school for scholars or adults) on: June 26, 27, and July 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26.

  • Reporting of attendance and progress monitoringAbility to problem-solve, mediate conflict and resolve situations in a positive mannerUnderstand and provide support for integrating technology into the learning

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Certificated teacher with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the classroom and/or school related position, such as Dean of Students, Counselor, TOSA, etc.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work scheduled hours on a consistent basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrative Internship completed or currently enrolled in a program
Successful experience working with academically challenged students

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
Successful candidate must be available for the entire summer session.
Criminal background clearance

Current trends and practices in education
Instructional theory and its application
Techniques to motivate student learning via inquiry, discussion, and application of knowledge
Organizing the physical and human elements in the educational setting
Instructional and non-instructional human dynamics
Standards-based instruction and familiarity with Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements
School board policies and procedures

WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Thursday,
Elementary hours - 8:00 am - 1:15 pm
Secondary hours - 8:45 am - 2:00 pm

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Position reports to and is evaluated by the Coordinator of the Summer Learning Academy and the Director of Student Intervention Services/Title 1/LAP
