Qualifications:
Postgraduate Professional or Pupil Personnel Services License with endorsements in school counseling or in administration and supervision preK-12, plus six years of progressively more responsible experience in counseling or teaching. Comprehensive knowledge of school counseling techniques, programs and practices; knowledge of adolescent psychology, growth, and development; comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of the middle school philosophy and current curriculum and instructional trends; knowledge of master schedule development; ability to assign, supervise, oversee and evaluate a staff of school counselors and support personnel; ability to gain the confidence of students, parents, and professional staff and foster cooperation; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
