The Sales Development Representative 2 (SDR) is part of the inside sales team and focuses on outbound prospecting and working with inbound marketing leads through high velo
city calling and email strategies. With a focus on leading discovery calls for all leads from marketing, they will be at the front line of new business and growth opportunities for our sales team. He/she will establish contact the lead, gather and document qualifying information and customer needs, and create an appointment for the assigned territory owner to advance the sale. The Sales Development Representative may occasionally be asked to participate in specific call campaigns as well.

This position requires strong communication and listening skills and the ability to identify and respond to customer needs with successful virtual sales campaigns. This position also requires exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage dozens of different leads through multiple campaigns, while managing a multi-touch campaign outreach cadence within certain timeframes.

Title, YOU WILL..
  • Becomes well versed with Fuel Education products, solutions and services which will aid in identifying ways for Fuel Education to meet the needs of all stakeholders (teachers, administrators, and students)
  • Becomes familiar with the purchasing cycles as they relate to districts,
    Title 1, and other federal funding guidelines
  • Plans and organizes area coverage and lead generation campaigns, which includes cold/warm calling and referral-based prospecting
  • Consult with customers to identify their needs and align them with solutions and services
  • Develop and manage lead generation activities including but not limited to email campaigns and outbound calling for assigned lead territory
  • Manage inbound calls and emails from our Fuel Education website as well as other outbound lead management efforts
  • Conduct prompt follow-up on leads from activities including but not limited to trade shows, and marketing activities
  • Manage prospecting status, data integrity, and forecasting in
  • Achieving, and exceeding weekly/monthly metrics (appointments, qualified leads, new contacts, etc.)
  • Responds to inbound customer interest and develops these accounts to create opportunities
  • Responds to coaching by applying recommended approaches, suggestions and exercising resilience

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years inside sales or sales development experience or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Process oriented in lead management
  • Familiarity with sales processes
  • Coachable, adaptable and responsive to guidance
  • Proficient in using technology to perform work
  • Strong verbal, phone sales, written communication and listening skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions with emphasis on getting results
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, and persuasive
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ed-Tech experience
  • Experience with Salesforce and LinkedIn
